Getting Ready for Psyc 100

1. Register for the course through Metropolitan State University

2. Send an e-mail to the instructor at mark.stasson@metrostate.edu

3. Get the textbook.
The textbook is "Psychology" (8th edition) by David G. Myers.  It is published by
Worth publishers and has a 2007 publication date (ISBN 0-7167-6428-8).  You can
obtain the book from the Metropolitan State University bookstore
If the bookstore does not work out for you, you may order it online from
Amazon.com (they also offer used books and discounted offers from other sellers), or
order from other book sources such as:
www.powells.com
www.collegebooksdirect.com
www.booksamillion.com
www.ecampus.com
www.cheapesttextbooks.com
www.bookbyte.com
www.ebay.com

If you shop online, make sure you use the textbook's "ISBN" number!!!  Most sites
allow you to enter the number (some won't accept the dashes) and see the book's availability and price(s).
Also, make sure you get the HARD COVER Version, some sites sell a cheaper "paperback" version
which is a study guide, not the actual textbook.

Psychology (8th Edition) by David G. Myers has ISBN  0-7167-6428-8
This book is HARD Cover only

4. Go to the textbook website and register as a student.
You will be asked to provide your name, an e-mail address, a password you
will use to access the site, and your instructor’s e-mail address (which is
         mark.stasson@metrostate.edu ).  Providing the instructor’s e-mail address identifies
you as a student in the Metropolitan State University class (and I will get your grades).
This site, http://bcs.worthpublishers.com/myers8e is used for QUIZZES and for PsychSim Tutorials (modules or exercises).

5. E-Mail instructor Prior to Each Exam.
One week prior to the time you want to take the first exam (which covers Chapters 1, 2, and 3),
e-mail the instructor so he can set up the website for your exam.  Repeat this process prior to each
exam.  EXAM web sites/links are provided by instructor for each Exam
***  When you e-mail, include your name, the exam you wish to take (e.g., 1st, 2nd, etc.) and the
